Sales Director
Ascade is looking for an experienced Sales Director to look after some of the company’s most prestigious customers in Europe and Africa. You will be part of the sales team and preferably be based near London, UK or Stockholm Sweden.
Ascade customers are mobile operators and fixed line carriers and rely on our Ascade7 interconnect business suite to optimize and automate the management of all aspects of their international voice traffic business..
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and expanding relationships with named accounts
- Identifying and closing new opportunities
- Negotiating contracts with customers and partners
- Participating in customer events, trade shows, User Group meetings etc
- Managing sales pipeline and meeting revenue targets
Experience and qualification
- 10+ years experience in solution sales and account management
- 10+ years experience in Telecommunications and IT
- Excellent written and oral English; other languages a plus
- Strong commercial background in software license and services sales
- Customer facing experience, comfortable working with decision makers at all levels
- Customer oriented, persistent, and determined
- Displays strong situation analysis, problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent communication skills; able to present complex ideas and solutions
- Able to work effectively against deadlines
- Flexible and responsive in a demanding commercial environment
- An understanding of different cultures and countries
- Willing to travel extensively (up to 50%)
- Comfortable working from home
- Graduate, university degree
